::American International School of Algiers opened its doors to students for the very first time on August 23, 2016. The school logo (above left) was designed by Cole Bo Williams. The son of a former international school administrator, he is a current graphic arts student in Seattle, Washington. Representing the tree of knowledge, we chose the olive tree because it is indigenous to the Mediterranean area and its branches represent peace in many cultures. Classes are taught by student-centered teachers who are native English speakers. Three of our teachers originally come from the U.S. and one is from the UK. In addition, units on Algerian history and culture will be taught by an Algerian teacher to all of our students to enrich their knowledge of and appreciation for this beautiful country.
