::Added later - I think the hotel is dishonest! They overcharged me for my stay. At check out, I found an error that someone else has a hotel bar bill that was charged to my room. They corrected that one on the spot. After getting back to home, I found another error. So I wrote to the hotel to see if they can issue a credit to my account. Two months later, not only it was not credited to my account, they did not even have the courtesy to acknowledge of my request! Stay away! Terrible! I regret that I am staying a this hotel! and seriously considering to move to another hotel!. First, a little background about me - I travel about 14 times (about 17-18 weeks) a year (mostly for work). So, I have seen a fair share of good and bad hotels. And I used to be in customer's service industry. One of the first objectives I was told was to please the customer. But that does not seem to be a priority for this facility. For the amount of money we paid for the room at at Hotel El Aurassi , I would expect a perfectly managed offsotge tail circuit falls into the bad hotel/service category. If there is a a grade lower than one star, that would be perfect for this hotel. The service is horrible. For example, I asked the front desk if they have an adapter that I can use, a simple request, I assume. (I come from a 110V country), the front desk recommended that I ask the Concierge. So I went to ask Concierge, I got an immediate response "we do not have it" "you have to contact housekeeping which is closed". That is absolutely crazy. Am I supposed wait for 24 hours for the housekeeping to check they have an adapter? If there is a need to contact someone, I have to wait for housekeeping for an adapter? Maybe this is a "French" service standards, Seriously, this hotel is not about customer service; but it is all about what the staff feels and how I can get out off of a cotumer's request!

::It was obviously a classy hotel in its day and is still pretty okay. But .. no kettle or tea and coffee in rooms. No irons made available to guests and staff seem a bit unable to resolve issues creatively. View is great and rooms are clean!

::rooms are good and the view is great if yours facing the sea. breakfast is nice but their open buffet at night was horrible. most of the staff speak French or Arabic with a difficult accent ( I speak Arabic and couldn't understand it).

::Sadly this hotel's service does not even deserve one star. I attempted for over 15 days via emails and telephone calls to book a meeting room a training seminar. I am an overseas company and am appalled at the lack of attention of ALL the persons I have spoken to. I have decided to bring my business to a different hotel in Algiers.

::Very luxury hotel with very nice and big rooms. The views from almost all sides is wonderful. I don't know about the prices because I didn't pay but I think this should quite pricy. There are many restaurants in side the hotel. Each with its own style a type of food. There is also a gym that you can access for free but for the sauna you surprisingly have to pay. For message you definitely have to pay :p So, to sum up this is a very good choice if you don't care about the price and you care about your staying at the hotel while visiting Algiers.
